On January 9th, the Governor of Kostanay Mr. Mukhambetov Archimed Begezhanovich, with his fellows visits UE’s Ybyrai 50MW Wind Power Project. This is the second time he has investigated the project on-site since April last year. During his trip, the governor mainly gets to know the progress of the project. He congratulated the project on the achievements, and highly affirmed the company's initiative to overcome the severe cold weather and difficulties during the epidemic period. 

Accompanied by the project manager, the governor checked the condition of the equipment and the construction of living buildings at the project site in a severe cold weather with temperature lower than -20 degrees. He then asked about difficulties and constraints encountered by the team, and further asked the progress payment and whether the workers' wages were paid on time. Ybyrai 50MW Project is the first wind power project in Kostanay region, which is in the list of ‘China-Kazakhstan Production and Investment Cooperation Key Projects’. The project officially started construction in September 2019 and is expected to be connect to the grid in 2021.
