Uzbekistan President: Uzbekistan Will provide the fullest assistance to UE's investment

In the afternoon of May 19th, a roundtable meeting between the President of Uzbekistan and Chinese entrepreneurs was held, with President Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan and Vice Premier He Lifeng attending the meeting and delivering speeches. Nan Yi, Chairman of Universal Energy, was invited to attend and make a speech.

At the meeting, a total of 8 Chinese entrepreneurs gave speeches. As the only representative of a private enterprise in the field of clean energy, Nan Yi became the third entrepreneur to speak. He said in his speech that UE has two businesses. One is to focus on the “Belt and Road” and engage in the construction and development of photovoltaic, wind power and other new energy power stations. Another is to focus on the "Carbon Peak & Carbon Neutrality" strategy and engage in R&D and manufacturing of vanadium redox flow batteries. Currently, it has become one of the leading and few full industry chain enterprises in the industry.

Nan Yi said that during this summit, UE and the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan signed an investment agreement for a 500MW wind power project, and deeply felt the favorable business environment and huge potential of the new energy market in Uzbekistan, which strengthened the confidence of enterprises in investment and construction. The company  will leverage its own advantages to complete project investment and construction at the fastest speed and with the highest quality, and create as much tax revenue as possible for the local government. He also mentioned that he hoped that the President can provide support for enterprises in terms of exchange, new energy installation planning, electricity pricing in RMB, and rights protection.

President Mirziyoyev gave a serious response to Nan Yi's speech. He said, "I am very grateful to UE for coming to Uzbekistan for investment, which is very important to us. The President, the Ministry of Energy, the Prime Minister, cabinet members, etc., will provide the fullest assistance. "

Representatives from enterprises and institutions such as China Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, BGI, China Energy Engineering Corporation, CITIC, Huawei, and BYD also gave speeches at this roundtable meeting.
