By the end of 2019, the project has entered into a crucial phase of construction as the power transformer was ready and the extension

work of 500kV substation was on progress. 

The power transformer of the project arrived on Dec. 22, 2019 when the local temperature dropped to minus 15 degrees and was installed ready for commissioning. The team took every effort to keep the transformer out of algidity and humidity by clearing the snow and setting the awning. Meanwhile, as the project will connect to this 500kV substation which is one of the largest and most advanced Substation in Kazakhstan, the team has commenced the foundation and electrical installation work for extension of 500kV substation while the newly added bay of connecting point for 220KV side was just done in December.
