Nan Yi Attends the "Shanghai-Almaty" Economic and Trade Forum and Delivers Speech

On April 7, the "Shanghai-Almaty" Economic and Trade Forum was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Gong Zheng, Mayor of Shanghai City, and Darkhan Satybaldy, Mayor of Almaty City, attended the forum and witnessed the signing of cooperation projects between the business departments and enterprises of the two cities. Nan Yi, Chairman of Universal Energy, attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech on behalf of Shanghai's private enterprises.
In his speech, Nan Yi shared the journey of his ten years of investment in Kazakhstan. He noted that since making the official decision to invest in the country, he has worked with partners in Almaty to successfully bring 15 renewable energy projects to fruition. He remarked that in recent years, the conditions for investors in Kazakhstan have continued to improve, including the development of energy market mechanisms and increased regulatory transparency. With the growing level of business and transport connectivity between Shanghai and Almaty, the two cities—as the economic centers of their respective countries—hold great potential for complementary cooperation. He expressed his wish for ever-wider paths of cooperation and ever-blooming flowers of friendship between the two cities in the future.
