Kaskelen 50MWp project is the third solar power project of Universal Energy in Kazakhstan. It started construction in 2019, and was connected to the gird on June 26, 2020. The project has been listed in Key Projects of China-Kazakhstan Capacity and Investment Cooperation. The completion of the project plays a positive role in the local economic development of the area, which not only provides about 80.8 million kWh of clean electricity per year and reduce carbon emissions by 80,800 tons per year, but also adds new tourist attractions to the area, with obvious social and environmental benefits.
