The world-renowned China-Central Asia Summit was held in Xi'an from May 18th to 19th. As an important supporting event of this summit, Kyrgyzstan's President Sadyr Zhaparov and the Chinese business community held a meeting in the afternoon of May 18th. UE Chairman Nan Yi was invited to attend the meeting and signed a memorandum of understanding with Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Energy. After the meeting, Chairman Nan Yi made a special visit to President Zhaparov and the two sides exchanged views on new energy cooperation in Kyrgyzstan.

Chairman Nan Yi introduced the business development and layout of Universal Energy in Central Asia to President Zhaparov. He said that UE is a Chinese private enterprise deeply engaged in the new energy field of countries along the "the Belt and Road", and has formed significant competitive advantages in terms of team, financing, electricity cost, risk management, etc. Based on these advantages, UE has developed into one of the largest and most competitive clean energy suppliers in Central Asia. On the occasion of the China-Central Asia Summit, it is a great honor to have a meeting with Mr. President. We look forward to investing in clean energy such as wind power and photovoltaics in Kyrgyzstan in the future, and strengthening mutual benefit and win-win cooperation between both parties.

President Zhaparov expressed his welcome for Nan Yi to invest in Kyrgyzstan. He pointed out that Kyrgyzstan has broad prospects for the development of new energy and an increasingly favorable investment environment. He will fully support UE's investment in Kyrgyzstan. We also hope to promote common prosperity between China and Kyrgyzstan by close cooperation.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed, UE plans to invest in the construction of wind and photovoltaic power stations in Kyrgyzstan, and both sides will also seek more cooperation opportunities in other new energy fields such as energy storage.

At present, the total capacity of new energy projects invested by UE in Central Asia has reached 630MW. Among them, 6 projects have been completed and connected to the grid, all of which have been included in the "Key Projects List of China-Kazakhstan Capacity Cooperation", generating a total of 1.41 billion kWh of electricity locally and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 1.41 million tons.
