UE signs a cooperation agreement on 250MW wind power in Kazakhstan

As an important part of the Third "Belt and Road" Forum for International Cooperation, the "Belt and Road" Entrepreneurs Conference was held in Beijing on the afternoon of October 17. At the meeting, UE's Chairman Nan Yi and Kazakhstan partners jointly signed a cooperation agreement for a 250MW wind power project. This marks that under the "Belt and Road" initiative, UE will open a new era of investment cooperation in Kazakhstan.

According to the above cooperation agreement, UE will jointly invest in four 250MW wind power projects in Kazakhstan with Kazakhstan's partners. After signing the contract, these projects will start construction without stopping, and it is expected that the earliest projects will be completed and connected to the grid in the third quarter of next year.

So far, the total capacity of UE's new energy projects in Kazakhstan has reached 630MW. Six power stations with a total capacity of 380MW have been completed and put into operation, all of which have been included in the "List of Key Projects for Capacity and Investment Cooperation between China and Kazakhstan". UE has become one of the largest clean energy suppliers in Kazakhstan.
