UE wins the bid for four new energy projects in Kazakhstan, with a total capacity of 170MW

In the recently concluded online bidding for new energy projects in Kazakhstan, UE won four more bids with a total capacity of 170MW due to its outstanding cost advantage in electricity consumption.

The bidding was organized by the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan, and a total of 7 wind power projects and 5 photovoltaic project sections were released for online bidding. In addition to local enterprises in Kazakhstan, it attracted Chinese, Russian, and other European companies to participate in the same platform competition.

After multiple rounds of competition, UE ultimately won four new energy projects: three wind power projects with a total capacity of 150MW and one photovoltaic project with a capacity of 20MW.

It is worth noting that the bidding competition for wind power projects in Kazakhstan is particularly fierce this year, with the winning bid price generally dropping by more than 40% compared to the starting bid price. UE has won three projects in one fell swoop, making it the enterprise with the highest number of wind power bids. These projects are distributed in the Kustane and Turkestan regions.

The lowest bid price for wind power from UE is 10.49 Tenge/kWh (approximately 2.3 cents/kWh), which is the lowest bid price since the company participated in the bidding for Kazakhstan's new energy market. It once again proves that UE has continuously made breakthroughs in cost control of electricity, and has accumulated energy to enhance the company's core competitiveness.
