Nan Yi visits Sri Lankan Prime Minister Gunawardena

On March 30th, Nan Yi, Chairman of Wontai Group, met with Sri Lankan Prime Minister Gunawardena who was visiting China in Shanghai. The two sides held talks on further deepening cooperation in new energy investment.

Nan Yi said that it was a great honor to meet and talk with Prime Minister in Shanghai. He introduced UE's industry position and market contribution in the "Belt and Road" new energy market, and communicated on the characteristics of energy storage products independently developed by the company, project applications, etc. He said that UE is promoting the development of wind power projects on the northwest coast of Sri Lanka and hopes that this meeting can accelerate project cooperation and promote the landing and construction of more new energy and energy storage projects in Sri Lanka. "We are full of confidence in Sri Lanka's investment."

Prime Minister Gunawardena thanks UE for actively participating in the investment and development of Sri Lanka. He stated that relevant government departments will support and assist businesses in their development in Sri Lanka. He hoped that UE can leverage its own advantages to assist Sri Lanka in energy transformation and upgrading.

During the meeting, Sri Lankan government officials attending the meeting also had full exchanges with Nan Yi on project construction approval procedures, environmental protection, and details of energy storage implementation.

Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong attended the talks.
