Universal Energy Commissioned its First Wind Power Plant on Mountains

A 50MW wind power project of Universal Energy, located in the mountainous region of southern Anhui province, China, was officially connected to the grid for operation recently.

The project is located at an average altitude of more than 1,000 meters. It is a typical mountain wind power station. The mountain road leading to the project is steep, the climate in the mountains is changeable, and the construction and transportation are very difficult. Throughout the construction process, the project team explored a set of mountain wind power project construction plans based on the premise of safety, effectiveness and environmental protection, and accumulated valuable experience for the company to further explore mountain wind power projects. The project is expected to generate 125 million kWh of electricity annually, which can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 125,000 tons per year.
